Just Married & Well Traveled

Hi - I would like to introduce myself, my name is Mrs. Jamie Todd Miller. I'm just like Jamie Lynn Todd but now just a little bit better :) Our wedding was more than a fairy tale and surpassed every expectation we both had. It was a night full of love and happiness.

I would like to say it was more than positive energy - it was something more magical and I will forever remember every moment of it -- thank you Sprite.

I want to say thank you to my most incredible family, Uncle Sam, Khalil, my beautiful bridesmaids, all the vendors, my new Miller family and my husband for making October 24th the best day of my life.

October 26th began our honeymoon adventure to London and Rome. We walked (everywhere), loved the food, the history and the people. Surprisingly enough we have a soft spot for London. We were mistaken for locals -- maybe a sign?! :) Enjoy viewing as we enjoyed living in the moment. Thanks for the camera mom and dad <3

Here are some honeymoon highlights.

Big Ben

London Eye

Colosseum

Trevi Fountain

Gelato

More will be posted on our facebook pages :)

Sunny Side Up

Those of you staying at the Embassy Suites or close by for that matter the night of the wedding - we want you to know we'll be hosting a brunch in one of the ballrooms from 9:30am to noon on Sunday 10/25.

We don't want the festivities to end so soon so what a better way to spend time with friends and family than to have a casual brunch to talk about the evening, sober up and to say our goodbyes.

My dad put the menu together, so I hope you like eggs and sausage :)

See you all in 11 days!!

You gotta stay!

Embassy Suites Downtown Orlando 407-841-1000

Those of you (which I know is most) who haven't booked your hotel room yet should jump on it.

Please contact the hotel directly since we have put together a wedding package. The price is negotiated and they have tons of rooms blocked off just for you special people! Remember to mention that you're a guest of ours to receive the discounted rate! Yes... you're welcome :)

On another note, I know quite a few of you live in the area and are on the fence about staying (I get it) but please consider the amount of FUN we're going to have till the wee morning and staying just a couple blocks away from the venue will be easy, safe and worth it.

Lastly, Sunday morning we'll have a ballroom at the Embassy Suites prepared for brunch for everyone. It'll be a good time to cure our hangover, chat about the evening and say our farewells.

Please contact Matt or myself if any of you have any questions.
Also you should have received a cute (well designed) card among the invitations - accommodations, registries and website information are on them.

2 1/2 months to go! Yippee!

RSVPs

I think this part is one of the exciting moments in the wedding planning process. Everyday you open up your mailbox with anticipation and excitement! How many RSVPs are we getting? Who are they from? Then we update our very detailed, multi-tabbed, excel spreadsheet and mark those guests as confirmed. Tedious but organized :)
With that always comes some surprises. One guest turned into two. Two guests turn into three or four and so on. Now, we didn't really specify no kids on our initiations (it kinda seems like we're anti-kids, which we're not!) but we didn't really plan a ceremony and reception around having children attend. We're going to be on a roof for quite a few hours and not a lot of kid activities. Also when you add kids - your guest list of 125 turns to 145 with a blink of an eye.
If possible, we'd prefer guests 15 years old or older. We love everyone and wish we can accommodate everyone but we can't. Contact Matt or myself if you have any questions.
On a side note -- thank you to those that have already submitted your RSVP :) Makes our job easier.
See you all in less than 3 months!!

Killer Pho-Togs

I LOVE the photographers that we hired for our wedding, so let me introduce you...

I recently had the pleasure of meeting Amy and Ben Starks. Amy grew up with Matt in Lake Wales so they have known each other for awhile. Well she and her husband started their own photography business and they just so happen to specialize in engagements and weddings :) They are pretty adorable and really fun to spend time with - that's them below.

So for father's day I got my dad a couple hours with the Starks to get our family portraits done. We had the shoot a couple weekends ago and we all had a blast! We mentioned it was their trial run before the actual wedding. And they passed :) They will be running around the reception and cocktail hour to get every detailed snapped.

Check out their blog and the sneak peak of the Todd's family photos at: www.starksphotography.com/blog/

Now, the other killer pho-tog is one of my very best friends, Mr. James Elledge.
He's been that guy that is my pseudo brother, the kind that will ALWAYS be there. One that is cool, fun, quirky and just real. He hasn't changed a lick since I've met him (back in high school when he was 18). Wow, how time flies. He's been out to FL more than anyone else to visit and he's the kind that won't ever forget my birthday.
He's been doing the photography thing for awhile - started with sports like surfing and has expanded to concerts, cd covers and fashion shoots. He's the type that won't turn anything down because it's either going to be fun or something he'll learn from. So I think my wedding will be his first wedding to shoot. Kinda exciting. But it seemed natural to have him do it - he would take a bajillion pictures anyway! I booked him a flight and he'll be here a couple days before the wedding. Don't worry James, you'll be able to party - that's what the Starks are for :)
